Vidushi Gupta is a New Delhi based designer whose practice explores the relationship between material, memory and reconstruction.

Working primarily with metal, she creates sculptural objects that preserve the traces of making — treating cuts, welds and imperfections not as flaws, but as carriers of beauty and meaning. Her work seeks a quiet balance between craftsmanship, emotion and contemporary form.

Fragments

Sculpted from a single sheet of metal, gas-cut by hand and meticulously reconstructed.

Jagged edges, welds and reclaimed offcuts are preserved as evidence of making — elevating industrial traces into sculptural beauty. Each scar remains visible, quietly challenging conventional ideas of perfection through the elegance of becoming. Each piece is limited in number and signed. Made-to-order custom sizes and colours are handled on an individual basis.

Each piece is entirely unique and cannot be replicated exactly, shaped by an inherently handcrafted process of raw steel cutting and welding.

The irregularities created during fabrication are intentionally preserved, making every object one of a kind.

Although conceived as collectible works, all pieces are fully functional.

Offcuts and negative spaces from fabrication are reclaimed into additional works — almost every part of the original steel sheet becomes part of the collection.
